could I add an optional chest/sternum strap to the shoulder straps?
I have a great blacks daypack from 8 years ago which has a series of loops on the shoulder straps...

I bought the Blacks velocity daysack around a year ago and added a chest strap with a clip, it works perfectly well and makes it more comfortable for running, cycling, climbing etc. Chest straps are fairly inexpensive but make hunge difference to the way the bag moves when worn during sporting activities.

I would think that you could add straps to the main straps of the rucksack , however, it may impair the rucksack straps .
